Monitoring

We do not auction domains and accept only one order per domain name.

Excessive Number clause †

We reserve the right to charge an annual management fee of £1 per domain name requested per year where, if in our opinion the number of names being monitored in an account is excessive (over 300 domains).

Once the domain is registered

Once the domain name is registered we will debit your account the recovery fee. You then may use our DNS servers free of charge. Future renewals are at a very competative price so you never need to transfer away, but you are able to FREE of charge if you wish, after all the domain is your!. Domains registered with us are automatically provided with their own under-construction page - this notifies potential registrants that the name has been acquired and is now registered. The under-construction page is offered free of charge and may be used indefinitely.

It is possible for Web and/or Mail forwarding to be provided for Mongolian domains.

Domain transfer/release fees are charged are by a majority of registrars, but Domain Recover makes no charge to transfer a domain to another Mongolian domain name registrar.

Background

.mn is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Mongolia. It is administered by Datacom. The domain name is composed of the consonants in the first syllable of the country name.

Some second-level domains are reserved for special use, such as:.gov.mn - government institutions.edu.mn - educational institutions.org.mn - non-profit organisationsThe U.S. state of Minnesota also makes limited use of the domain, such as mapping www.leg.state.mn.us, the site for the Minnesota State Legislature, to www.leg.mn with a CNAME record.

The registry doesn't generally require specific second-level domains. As of 2006, the registry doesn't yet support Internationalized domain names.

The .mn domain name is becoming more popular in Minnesota, but it still is not widely recognized. The .MN domain in Minnesota is used primarily as a 'clever' domain name like vita.mn (a play on vitamin), or for location specific sites like apartments.mn. A search on Google for .MN yields mostly State of Minnesota domains like .mn.us or .mn.gov.
