Monitoring

We wont charge to monitor the domain name (expect for excess numbers † and will only charge you upon a successfull registration.

We do not auction domains and accept only one order per domain name.

Excessive Number clause †

We reserve the right to charge an annual management fee of £1 per domain name requested per year where, if in our opinion the number of names being monitored in an account is excessive (over 300 domains).

Once the domain is registered

Once the domain name is registered we will debit your account the recovery fee. You then may use our DNS servers free of charge. Future renewals are at a very competative price so you never need to transfer away, but you are able to FREE of charge if you wish, after all the domain is your!. Domains registered with us are automatically provided with their own under-construction page - this notifies potential registrants that the name has been acquired and is now registered. The under-construction page is offered free of charge and may be used indefinitely.

It is possible for Web and/or Mail forwarding to be provided for Honduran domains.

Domain transfer/release fees are charged are by a majority of registrars, but Domain Recover makes no charge to transfer a domain to another Honduran domain name registrar.

Background

The Republic of Honduras has been issued the ccTLD ".hn", registrations under .hn are available to anyone on a first-come first-served basis. You don't need a local presence in Honduras to register under .hn, but if you are registering a domain name for a company, you must be able to provide proof that the company has been registered. The registry state:

"in case that the applicant is a Legal person; the applicant must demonstrate proof of legal constitution of the company"

The minimum number of characters for a Honduras domain name is 3, although the registry suggest 5, and the maximum is 63, although the registry suggest 24 for practical purposes.

Registrations are made directly under the second level ".hn", for example your-domain-name.hn. When registering a .hn domain name, the registry state that a letter of request, on letterheaded paper, signed and sealed by the company's legal representative is sent to the registry. This can be sent by post, fax or email.
